Bushwick 2BR | Brooklyn, NY

A two bedroom rental in Brooklyn, NY with approximately 900 sqft of shared space that needed defined areas for different activities and added depth to create the illusion of more space.

We transformed their spaces with black paint, a few vintage accents, a statement piece in each room and a variety of textures in complimentary earth tones. Their personal collection of art and textiles and plants (30!) were woven through each space to make a truly captivating and unique home for this WFH artist.

moodboard

We put together a mood board for each unique space and illustrated how we wanted the walls painted prior to move-in. I visualized how each room could look from photos of the room completely empty.

Before & After

The original vanity in the bathroom was a 3-door cabinet/mirror that had seen its days and really wasn’t functioning for my clients needs.

We removed the old vanity and replaced it with a beautiful vintage arch mirror I found on Craigslist for $60.

A small vintage lamp (with a dimmer switch!) placed on the tank created a warm ambiance at night and could take the place of overhead lights.

Towels and bath mats were rolled up and stacked in a wire basket I found at Target for $8.
